Brookwood
Animal Clinic located in Jackson, Georgia is a full service
veterinary facility. We serve Butts, Henry, Jasper, Spalding, Lamar,
and Monroe counties and surrounding areas. We proudly feature state-of-the-art
equipment, technology, and a highl y trained, professional staff to provide
complete medical and surgical care for your small animals. We hope you find our
website helpful and convenient. We offer personal contact with our
doctors and staff via email. We also have mail order service
for many pet supplies and brand name flea and tick treatments. New patients may
download forms to complete prior to your initial office visit.
Brookwood Animal Clinic is equipped to perform most surgical procedures from
spays and neuters to complex surgeries and specialized orthopedic procedures.
Laser surgery is available in addition to standard methods. We utilize the
services of our husband and wife team, Dr. Greg Mathis, DVM and
Dr. Gwyn Mathis, DVM to perform surgical procedures as well as conduct
routine and comprehensive diagnostic examinations.
If you need to board your pet, our well-managed boarding facility
provides all the comforts of home. For a tour of our boarding area, please call
us to make arrangements. We also offer pet supplies, medicines,
and flea and tick products in our office. We stock products
such as Frontline Plus for dogs and cats, fly repellant,
Advantage for dogs and cats, Capstar,
Preventic, Pet Vitamins, Nutri-Cal, LaxaTone, waterless shampoo,
Ketachlor shampoo, Esbilac and KMR milk replacers, flea spray, ear wash, and
Grannick's training aid, just to name a few.
Brookwood also offers a behind the scene unique opportunity for
the youth of our community called "Spend the day with the Vet" it allows
inspiring veterinary hopefuls an opportunity to see up close the everyday life
of a Veterinarian to see if "you really want to make the 8-year commitment" says
Dr. Greg. We have had over 93 students and family members take the tour of our
practice recently. The doctor's philosophy is to "practice excellent quality
veterinary medicine" and we want our clients to have a good time and good
experience here. Their clients come from as far away as High Point, N.C to
Jacksonville, FL. "It's worth making the trip, we wouldn't go any where else"
quotes one of our clients. Dr. Greg and Dr. Gwyn treat their clients and staff
members like family.

named
Butts County Business of the Year for 2008
This award is given to a business, commercial or
industrial entity that has earned a reputation for Integrity, community service,
or has had a positive impact on the community. Brookwood's staff is
described as “the most excellent, hardworking, loving, kind-hearted, ethical and
compassionate group that deserves recognition beyond gratitude.” The Mathis’
were one of the first veterinarians in the greater Atlanta area to start
practicing the 3-year vaccine protocol, that is now sweeping the nation. A
third doctor was added in the addition of Dr. Erin Bell. Brookwood is very
involved in education with participating in Career Days, giving tours, and
program called “Spend the Day with the Vet.”
2008 Employee of the Year Awarded to
Gail Carrouth by Butts County Chamber
This award is given to an employee that has
distinguished themselves for community activities, outstanding work or
contributions that have made a business distinguished in the community. Gail
takes a personal interest in clients, knows their children, grandchildren and
pets. She organizes fundraisers and collects for charity events. As practice
manager, she makes sure the office is always running smoothly and takes time to
visit and socialize with the clients. She coordinates educational activities
and conducts tours. Not surprisingly, Gail helped with the formation of the
Butts County
Animal Society. |
